A Mini-Roundup from NYFW

I love fashion, and I love New York City. So it would just make sense that I would love New York Fashion Week, even though I’ve never been to NYFW or to a fashion show.

NYFW is specifically for industry insiders, media (newspapers, magazines, and television), models and celebrities, and select VIBs (very important bloggers). There are some events open to the public including the TRESemme Runway Studio Salon, Carol Galvin Foundation Women’s Cancer Fashion Runway Gala, Fashion Week Online VIP Lounge, NYFW Fashion for Charity Rising Stars Runway Show, as well as several fashion shows by select up-and-coming designers.

Fashion Week, whether it’s in NYC, London, Milan, or Paris, features both world-renowned designers and smaller boutique designers.

Designers showing their collections at NYFW include: Erin Fetherston, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Nicole Miller, Rebecca Minkoff, Herve Leger, Alexander Wang, Monique Lhuillier, Altuzarra, Derek Lam, Rachel Zoe, Tory Burch, Victoria Beckham, Badgley Mischka, Vera Wang, Dennis Basso, DKNY, Diane von Furstenburg, Prabal Gurung, The Row, Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, Reem Acra, Blogger & The Brand, Rag & Bone, Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, Naeem Khan, Ann Sui, Ralph Lauren, J. Mendel, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, and Marli, just to name a few.

Here are a few looks from NYFW that I really like and would actually wear!

NYFW Autumn/Winter 2016 is coming to a close on Thursday, but it doesn’t mean that Fashion Week is over. Next up is London Fashion Week (Feb. 19-23), followed by Milan Fashion Week (Feb. 24-March 1), and closing out the month-long parade of new designs is Paris Fashion Week (March 1-9).

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week is scheduled for July 3-8.

Spring/Summer 2017 Fashion Week shows kick off again in New York (Sept. 8-15), followed again by London (Sept. 18-20), Milan (Sept. 21-27), and Paris (Sept. 27-Oct. 5).

Yours Truly,

Vanessa
