Welcome to “Green Acres Meets Paris”!
My name is Vanessa and I live in East Tennessee. I love to write about fashion, beauty, style, celebrities, entertainment, and travel. This is a womens fashion and lifestyle blog, since it covers so much.
When I started this blog, my goal was to “find my voice”. One thing is for certain… I love writing! And I love the fact that there are some people out there who like my blog enough to follow it! For that, I say THANK YOU!
I recently became a BlogHer Social Media Influencer and Mogul Influencer/Global Ambassador. I’m super excited about these honors and hope to expand my blog’s reach through both the BlogHer and Mogul communities.
Most days you can find me laughing, walking, and writing. I love serving the world by writing and working as a Registered Medical Assistant for a surgical group in East Tennessee.
I am mostly known as a city girl living the in country, a writer, a loyal friend, loving daughter and sister, doggy mommy, and wife extraordinaire. The things that I’m most passionate about in life are writing, fashion, beauty, travel, gardening, family, and friends.
On a more personal note, I am married to a wonderful man named Mike, and we have two beautiful four-legged “children” – a Beagle-Poodle mix named Daisy Mae, and a Pitbull-Mountain Cur mix named Doc. Our oldest, CT, was a German Shepherd who passed away a few years ago from cancer. She was 12 years old. Dakota, our Chi-Pom mix, passed away on Veteran’s Day (in 2015), and was he was 16. Both CT and Dakota will alway hold a special place in our hearts!
I have a B.A. in English, with a minor in Religion and Business, I think… (at least I think had enough college credits to have a Business minor). I’ve worked as a video editor at a Chattanooga TV station during my senior year in college. Then I worked as a news reporter for a newspaper, followed by a 6-year stint in PR for a small private Christian university. Now I work as a Registered Medical Assistant, working with a General Surgeon.
THANK YOU for taking time to browse my blog! Hopefully you will find it entertaining, enlightening, and encouraging! (There’s a little alliteration for all the English majors out there!)
Again, welcome to my “Green Acres!”
