Pick Your Poison for Halloween

Crafty Ideas for Halloween / www.vanessahwood.com

I used to live in a small town where every house on this one street decorated their houses and yards for Halloween. It was the busiest and best Halloween trick-or-treating any kid or adult could ask for! Whether you’re decorating your house and yard, and handing out treat bags, or if you’re throwing an adults-only Halloween costume party, here are some great Halloween ideas. Take some outdoor decoration ideas from This Silly Girl’s Life. If you live in a small neighborhood and don’t get many trick-or-treaters, then maybe handing out goodie bags might be a good idea. Wanderlust: California

I have always wanted to go to California! I have a couple of friends who live out there and they love it! I actually went to L.A. a couple of years ago for a blog conference, but I didn’t get to venture out beyond the hotel and the area around the Staples Center. Now with that being said, here is a list of a few of the jobs I’d like to try someday… 1)      Actress… My husband says I’m a drama queen. I have been known […]

“I Have a Dream…”: Remembering Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream… A dream of peace, freedom, and hope. Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and many people around the United States have honored the legacy of this man. I am reminded of the Oscar-nominated movie, Selma, about the march from Selma, Ala., to Montgomery, Ala., in 1965, to secure equal voting rights, Martin Luther King Jr.’s words ring true as much today as they did in 1965. {Images borrowed from 1 // 2 } You can read Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech HERE.
