Take Me Back to the 80’s (Movies, that is)

What better way to spend time with your friends and family this summer than to watch some classic movies from the 1980s. Most people my age remember some of the classic movies of our generation, especially the ones from the 80s. Those were some classic movies! Of the some 31,000+ movies that were made between 1980 and 1989, here is a short list of some of my favorites. We had the John Hughes movies, such as The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Some of my other favorite movies include The Princess Bride, Dirty […]

My 101 Things in 1001 Days List

For the past two hours, I have been perusing Pinterest, clicking on links, and reading blog posts by other bloggers about fashion, beauty rituals, Coachella, as well as  watching a few DIY and “how-to” videos. But for the past 30 minutes, I have been reading other blogger’s “101 things in 1001 days lists.” I thought to myself, “What a cool idea!” Who inspired me to do this list? A Mini-Roundup from NYFW

I love fashion, and I love New York City. So it would just make sense that I would love New York Fashion Week, even though I’ve never been to NYFW or to a fashion show. NYFW is specifically for industry insiders, media (newspapers, magazines, and television), models and celebrities, and select VIBs (very important bloggers). There are some events open to the public including the TRESemme Runway Studio Salon, Carol Galvin Foundation Women’s Cancer Fashion Runway Gala, Fashion Week Online VIP Lounge, NYFW Fashion for Charity Rising Stars Runway Show, as well as several fashion shows by select up-and-coming designers. […]
