Cannes. Just the name of this Parisian coastal city oozes glamour and luxury. Celebrities flock there for the Cannes Film Festival, but there is so much more to see in this seaside city than films. Cannes is a resort town on the French Riviera and is home to the world-famous Cannes Film Festival. Curving along the coast, the Boulevard de la Croisette, is lined with sandy beaches, upscale boutiques, and opulent hotels. Woman of Style: Julia Roberts

With her trademark smile, Julia Roberts burst onto the scene as Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman, and she hasn’t looked back. The two films I remember seeing her in before her Pretty Woman fame was Satisfaction (1988) and Mystic Pizza (1988). I guess you could say that it is now more than a job… it’s a career. That being said, I still think of myself as that awkward 20-something young lady, fresh […]

“School of Life” is a Good Lesson on Life

I stumbled upon a movie on TV the other night starring the handsome, and now married, Ryan Reynolds. I’ve been smitten with Reynolds since Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place. The movie I’m writing about was a made-for-TV movie titled School of Life (2005) and starred Reynolds as Michael D’Angelo. It also starred David Paymer as Matt Warner, John Astin as Matt’s father, Norman Warner, and Andrew Robb as Matt’s son, Dylan Warner. School of Life is about a teacher who moves to a town and shakes up the old school way of doing things. Before I get into the details of […]
