7 Celebrities I'd Love To Cook With

I’ll admit it. Saturday was a total lazy day. I did nothing but lay around all day and night and watch a Cooking Channel marathon of Dinner at Tiffani’s.

After watching cooking shows all day and night long, I started to think about other celebrities who cook and now have cooking shows. So here are my top seven celebrities, who have cooking shows, with whom I’d love to stand beside them, cook with them, and then taste the the fruits of our labor.

1) Tiffani Theissen, Dinner at Tiffani’s

Not only does she know how to cook, but she is funny, engaging, and charming. It’s no wonder that she has such a variety of celebrity friends who get excited about being invited to her house for dinner! She is classy and seems to be a wonderful home cook. The friends she invites over for dinner help her with appetizers, cocktails or drinks, main courses, and desserts. Also, she always seems to have the perfect tablescapes for the occasion. She and her friends reminisce about when they first met, and some of her guests are meeting each other for the first time even though they have known about each other from the business of Hollywood.

2) Chrissy Teigen, Chrissy Teigen’s Hungry

She is a model and the wife of singer John Legend, but if you follow her on Instagram, then you also know that she cooks. I think her spunky personality would make for an awesome cooking night. I don’t know if her show still airs on Th Cooking Channel, but her Instagram account has its fair share of food pics as well as selfies.

3) Rev Run and Justine Simmons, Rev Run’s Sunday Suppers

His wife, Justine, does the majority of the cooking, but she gets some help from their children every now and then. They make my list because… Well, have you seen their kitchen? I would love a spacious kitchen like that! She makes a lot of tasty meals and I’d love to hang out with her in their kitchen. I also love that she cooks a large meal. I went from cooking for about nine people every Sunday to cooking for two, which I don’t mind because there are less dishes to do at the end of the meal. But I appreciate they at the end of the day, they sit down together and share the meal as a family.

4) Haylie Duff, The Real Girl’s Kitchen

Yes, Haylie is the older sister of Hilary Duff. Haylie has tried to set herself apart by designing her show as a “real girls’s kitchen”, and she uses a lot of organic ingredients. Part of her show is going to different places and seeing how goat cheese is made, or spending time working on a food truck, or doing a yoga session with her sister and friends, but then she gets to cooking. She brings on her celebrity friends as well as some non-celebrity friends to help her pull a meal together.

5) Trisha Yearwood, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen

I just love Trisha! Not only is she a country music singer, but she is married to Garth Brooks. Sometimes her sister cooks with her, other times she brings her high school friends on to cook with her. She does have her fair shar of celebrity friends who come on her show to help her out. She cooks such easy, tasty-looking meals that my mouth waters just watching her show.

6) Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos, Extra Virgin

Some people may not recognize Debi as a big-time celebrity, but she has been in the business for decades. She has dark brown, almost jet black hair, and piercing blue eyes. Look her up! She, along with her Italian husband, Gabriele, have moved to Tuscany (Italy), and cook classic Italian meals. They have an outdoor pizza oven, raise their own chickens, and grow their own veggies. Gabriele is a real chef and Debi helps him prepare the meals. Their love for each other translates well into their love of cooking together. I would love to travel to Tuscany, experience the culture as well as the food, and learn how to cook some authentic Italian food.

7) Tia Mowry, Tia Mowry at Home

I haven’t seen her cooking show, but she has joined the club of celebrities who cook. The commercial for her cooking show aired during the Dinner at Tiffani’s marathon I watched on Saturday. Her love of cooking, especially cooking for her family, will make this a celebrity cooking show that I plan to watch.

And here’s a bonus… I would love to meet and cook with Rachel Khoo. She is not an actress, movie star, or singer. She is a chef, writer, and broadcaster from London. Her shows include Rachel Khoo’s Kitchen Notebook: London and Little Paris Kitchen: Cooking with Rachel Khoo. Her accent is charming and you can tell by the way she describes what she is cooking or making that she loves food! She gets her fresh herbs from the garden box on her window sill, and she seems to move effortlessly in her tiny kitchen, whether it’s her kitchen in London or Paris.

Here’s what I love about all of these cooks. They are not professionally trained and don’t use a lot of specialty seasonings or ingredients. They use ingredients that can be found in our own pantries, in the farmer’s market, and in the grocery store down the road. They use simple, easy to master, techniques.

So, who are some of your favorite celebrities who cook and have their own cooking shows? Who are some of your other favorite chefs on TV? I’d love to hear from you, so just leave your comments below!

Have a great day!
