How to Make Your July 4th Weekend Unforgettable

Bring out the fireworks and sparklers! Bring out the red, white, and blue decorations! Bring out the bean bag toss games and the water balloons! Get all of your family and friends together and get ready to celebrate the Fourth of July in style.

First of all, if you’re throwing a July 4th picnic, you’ll want to start NOW buying decorations. I was just at Hobby Lobby last weekend and their was one aisle full of July 4th decorations. Red, white and blue were plentiful! If you’re like me (meaning out in the country), and you have a pallet, then you can paint the pallet like a flag, like Woo Home did. What a fantastic idea!

Now that you’ve gotten in the spirit, now is the time to think about what to feed your hungry guests. Take a cue from B. Lovely Events and have a hot dog and burger bar.

And don’t forget the dessert. Try this easy-peasy M&M cake from Two Sisters Crafting. You could have any flavor cake, like chocolate or yellow cake, and then you can decorate it like this.

Now you’ll need something to wash all this food down, so why not try one of the red, white, and blue layered drinks from Country Living Magazine.

You could play bean bag toss games, have water balloon fights, or divide your guests into small groups and send them on a scavenger hunt. Use this scavenger hunt list as a starting point, compliments of Moritz Fine Blog Designs (via Pinterest). You could also check Pinterest for more July 4th games, for kids of all ages.

Hopefully you can use some of these awesome fourth of July ideas and make your upcoming holiday a stylish and delicious celebration!

What are you doing for the fourth of July weekend? Whatever you have planned, be careful and don’t drink and drive.

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
