A Tribute to the True Power of a Woman

In the March 2010 issue of Glamour magazine, there was an editorial featuring an excerpt from Eve Ensler’s book I Am an Emotional Creature: The Secret Life of Girls Around the World. According to Glamour, this editorial is “the most important 433 words to read” because Eve Ensler “celebrates the true power of a woman.” Eve Ensler is a feminist, an activist, a playwright, and a performer, but she is best known as the author of The Vagina Monologues. Dinner with Kate and Goldie

“I am compelled to continuously see the bright side. It is in my DNA. My kids look at me and say: ‘Mom, you’re so happy!’ And I do feel happy. I feel joyful inside. What I'm Reading… I Quit Sugar

“I quit sugar!” Those are words that will (hopefully) come out of my mouth with a little more enthusiasm than I’m feeling right now, especially since I had a cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting this morning for breakfast. I recently purchased Sarah Wilson’s book, I Quit Sugar, with every intention to quit the sweet stuff. My sugar addiction is off the charts!  I’m giving myself some time to thoroughly read the book, to clean out my cupboards and fridge, and to develop an attack plan. Thankfully, my friend, Katy, said that she would quit sugar with me. Now I’m […]
