Reuse. Recycle. Repurpose. That’s how I feel about thrifting and shopping consignment sales. One woman’s “trash” is another woman’s “treasure”. Am I right?
A couple of weeks ago, I went to the StateMint Style Spring consignment sale and scored some really great pieces. So needless to say, my dress form got a lot of action this past weekend as I tried on all the pieces. I bought shirts, dresses, a pair of sandals, and two — yes TWO — purses. I spent less than $200 for all of these pieces. So let’s get to it!
My StateMint Style Finds
I really liked this romper. It’s from Josie’s Boutique, which I believe is located in Knoxville, Tenn. Even though it crosses in front, it doesn’t gape open. The back, however, is open, so I’d probably wear my fancy lace bralette underneath. I may try to taper the bell sleeves or even make them 3/4-length sleeves, but we’ll see. This would be a great outfit for date night with the hubs.
This Cresent brand cardi is soft, warm, and cozy… perfect for every day, especially on cool days. I’ve been wearing this on repeat the past two weeks. {For a similar style, check out this one from Amazon.}
I’m trying to get invest in some longer workout leggings and these two pairs fit the bill. One pair is Victoria’s Secret Sport and the palm tree ones are Lilly Pulitzer. They both are super comfy, have wide waistbands, and fit perfectly. They don’t cut into my waist either, which is a bonus in my book.

I was super excited to find this Chloe-inspired crossbody! The actual Chloe Faye {small} leather and suede bag is $1390.
This Banana Republic top is tunic length and would look great over a pair of faux leather leggings.
The bottom of this slip has a tulle ruffle, and will look great under a shorter dress, a long tunic, or a long sweater where the ruffle can peek out from underneath it.
I took some style inspiration from Damsel in Dior and paired the pink top over the grey slip. The slip may need to be pulled up a bit, but I think this looks stylish.
This American Eagle embroidered top is really comfortable and will go great with a pair of shorts, a denim skirt, or jeans. It’s lightweight and will be perfect to wear to a weekend BBQ.
I’m a sucker for almost anything “Paris”, so this shirt is perfect for me!
Totally “on brand” for me and my blog! It’s another American Eagle top.
I purchased this A.N.A. vest for my mother, because she is into fringe. She’ll be able to wear this to church, probably over a silky blouse and dress pants.
I’ve really taken inspiration from Damsel in Dior {Jacey} and I am loving how she styles slip dresses. I can style this up with a blazer and heels, or style it down with a denim jacket and sneakers or sandals. I can’t wait to wear this dress this summer.
I really liked this Sunday in Brooklyn top, especially with the lace around the bottom. Unfortunately, It’s a little small for me, so I may either resale it or gift it to one of my nieces.
I walked by this small accessory bag a couple of times before I decided to buy it. I’m glad I got it, because it holds all of my doTERRA essential oils. It was from Charming Charlie {similar style here}.
I just thought this shirt was cute and figured I could wear it out walking, or styled with some jeans and sneakers for a Saturday funday.
These Born sandals retail for $105, but they are on sale for $89. I still think I got a huge bargain and am excited to score another pair of Born shoes. I love-love-love Born shoes and can’t wait to wear these sandals this summer.
I purchased my first skort last summer and was excited to find this one for only $5. I found this style on Amazon for $29. Another great bargain, I think. I will definitely be wearing this skort a lot this summer!
I almost bought this Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag at the Thursday evening charity pre-sale event, but didn’t because I already had the grey crossbody in my shopping bag. I told myself that if it was there on Sunday {which was the last day of the weekend sale}, that I would buy it.
On my way to work with my new gently used, but obviously loved, purse.
And guess what, it was still there, so I bought it!!! It even came with the dust cover! TBH, I’ve been eyeballing this style crossbody for a couple of years because, to me, it is reminiscent of the Chanel Boy Bag crossbody. I have to get a smaller/thinner wallet in order to fit everything I want to carry into this bag, but I really just love-love-love this bag!
