Links I Love: March 2019

Links I Love_ March 2019 / www.vanessahwood.com

Spring is here, and girl, I have some links I love that you’re going to love too! It’s all about SPRING! From affordable fashion finds {who here doesn’t want to look stylish for Spring} to what to read {check out Grace’s list}, this month’s links has what you’re looking for {or at least I hope so}. I’ve also found an inspirational success story, so don’t miss that at the end!

12 Links I Love

Fanny Packs for Spring {Camille Styles} – I totally believe I rocked a fanny pack back in the 80’s when I was growing up. Fanny packs have come and gone over the years, but there’s a whole new “grown up” stylish fanny packs {or as I like to call them, belt bags}, and Camilla showcases 12 lust-worthy styles.

Fashion on a Budget {Atlantic-Pacific} – Twelve must be the lucky number for today because this link features 12 outfits where everything is under or around the $100 price point. If you’re like me, you still find some of these items a little beyond your budget. But you can still get some great styling tips and fashion outfit ideas for Spring!

Spring Wedges to Shop {StyleCaster} – I love a good, comfortable wedge sandal, and StyleCaster has rounded up a great selection that not only look stylish, but look comfy! My faves {not pictured below} are this pair, this pair, and this pair.

Spring Styles to Swoon Over {Damsel in Dior} – I enjoy perusing through Jacey’s fashion finds because she selects pieces that I would never have thought to look at, but she makes them work. I really like these sandals, this hat, these pants, and this dress.

Trend Report: Sorbet Shades {SheerLuxe} – Not a fan of bold colors? Then take some style inspo from this trend report and “pimp your pastels this Spring.” I really like the cotton candy colors, mainly because they remind me of Easter dresses and SweetTart candies.

Modern Romance {Penny Pincher Fashion} – I love Kimberly’s front-tie dress, which can be worn off-the-shoulders. It would be a perfect dress to wear to a spring or summer wedding. She also links to some other affordable fashion finds in this post.

Spring Wish List {Carrie Bradshaw Lied} – Kathleen’s wish lists always contain amazing pieces and products, and this is is no different. She included the Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow on her list, which I’ve been wanting to try as well. {I may have to make a quick trip to Sephora this weekend to pick up a sample!}

10 Spring Sandals Around $100 {The Sweetest Thing} – This momma-to-be is simply glowing. In this link, she includes some stylish sandals, including some dupes for those of us looking to save a little money. I really like these Hermes dupes she linked in her post.

How to Feel Confident During Swimsuit Season {Sassy Red Lipstick} – Not everyone feels confident rockin’ a bikini, or even a one-piece swimsuit. I have avoided wearing a swimsuit for years because of my own insecurities. Sarah’s post is body-positive {“love the skin you’re in”} and seeing her confidence gives a boost to mine.

“no one has a perfect body. NO ONE. trust me, even women who have a classic “bikini body” talk about their flaws and what they wish they could change. just own your body! if anyone judges you for a soft tummy or rolls, it just goes to show how insecure they are, not you. you’ll be too busy flaunting what your momma gave ya and having the best time!”

Weekend City Guide for Savannah, Georgia {The Everygirl} – My brother was born in Savannah, and I’ve been there once {for like eight hours}. This travel guide makes me want to go back for a long weekend! It also makes me want to rewatch the John Cusack movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

March 2019 Reading List {The Stripe by Grace Atwood} – What “Links I Love” list wouldn’t be complete without Grace’s monthly reading list. She always picks the best books. I would love to go to a bookstore with her just to get chat about and look for new reads! Enjoy these recommendations!

SheerLuxe Success Stories – I always love to hear someone’s success story, especially how they gave up a job to pursue their dream. Caryn Hibbert did just that. She left a career in medicine in London, moved to the Gloucestershire countryside, and bought a manor house. The renovation project turned into Thyme, a top-rated luxury hotel nestled in the Cotswolds.

That’s all for this month, folks…

I could have included tons more links, but I’ll save them for another LIL round-up.

The weekend is here and I’m going to enjoy the sunny weather we’re having here in East Tennessee!

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
