Dress Form Outfit: Summer Jumpsuit

I always thought that jumpsuits were basically an adult onesie. I guess I never saw the appeal of them, and I never thought I’d jump on the jumpsuit trend. However, when I finally found one that is not only comfortable but stylish, I had to have it!

I never planned on buying a jumpsuit, but I found this one at the Goodwill store in Lenoir City, Tenn., and I just couldn’t pass it up.

It’s a Lisa Rinna Collection jumpsuit, which was available on QVC. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available, but she does have other styles available for purchase on QVC’s website.

This jumpsuit has a deep V neckline, and I would wear something underneath it or maybe pin it closed with a stylish brooch.

I paired this black jumpsuit with my ALDO platform wedge sandals and my Halston wristlet. For summer, I would top this outfit with a Janessa Leone-style hat. I’d also wear a long necklace and a couple of bracelets.

The neckline may be too low cut, so I figured I could either use a brooch to close the “too low” neckline or close it with just a basic safety pin. On the other hand, I could wear a tank top underneath, like I did in the photo on the right.

I can wear this jumpsuit for work or play. Here are some tips for styling a jumpsuit like the one I purchased.

For Day:

1. Wear a collared shirt underneath.
2. Slip a blazer over your ensemble.
3. Slide into a pair of stylish flats or low heeled shoes.
4. Carry a structured bag.

For Weekend:

1. Wear a tank top or lightweight t-shirt underneath.
2. A cool hat, like the ones designed by Janessa Leone.
3. We a pair of Converse sneakers or flat sandals.
4. Wear a crossbody bag.

For Date Night:

1. Show-off a sexy bralette underneath.
2. Wear a stylish blazer or a lightweight sweater.
3. Slip into a pair of wedge sandals or high heels.
4. Complete the look with a clutch.

Make this outfit pop with some shiny accessories
{i.e., layered necklaces, earrings, bracelets, etc.}.

I can’t wait to wear this jumpsuit this summer. I’m sure I’ll wear it more than I my jeans, especially for date nights with my hunny.

Sidebar: A couple of years ago, I bought my first chambray romper and found it awkward when I needed to use the loo. Then this past March, I purchased another romper. {I’m still trying to wrap my head around that whole bathroom situation.}

How do you style your summer jumpsuits?

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
