Can You Guess Their Famous Fathers?

Sometimes I think it’s easier to break into the Hollywood scene if your parents are already in the industry. I, myself, am not famous and I don’t have “famous” parents (although I think my mom and dad are pretty awesome). So it’s no wonder that there is a whole generation of actors that we love to watch now, only to discover that their mother and/or father are actors themselves.

I was watching Hawaii 5-0 a few months ago because my friend from high school, Kinna McInroe, had a guest spot on an episode that aired on Jan. 8th. As I was watching the show, I thought to myself (a) how much Scott Caan looks like his famous father, James, and (b) how much his voice and mannerisms are like his father.

There is a whole generation of male actors emerging and some look just like their famous fathers. I’m in that age group somewhere between the older generation of actors and the up-and-coming offspring of these famous actors, and I am loving both generations of actors.

Everyone knows some of the more famous iconic acting families. You have Martin Sheen and his sons Emilio Estevez and Charlie Sheen. Then there is Lloyd Bridges and his sons Beau and Jeff Bridges. And who can forget Kirk Douglas and Michael Douglas. Ben Stiller even puts his famous father, Jerry, in his movies.

So here are some sons of famous actors, who, in their own right, are quickly becoming famous actors themselves. Can you guess who their famous fathers are? Photo Sources: (l-r, top) Sean (IMDb), Wyatt (LA Times), Scott (Refinery 29); (l-r, bottom) Max (Zimbio), Colin (People Magazine), Scott (NY Post) – all via Pinterest

Sean’s father is Pierce Brosnan, one of the most handsome men to play James Bond. Wyatt is the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. Scott is Clint Eastwood’s son, as if those pinched eyes didn’t give it away.

Max is the son of Jeremy Irons, and if you don’t know who Jeremy Irons is, you need to watch M. Butterfly. Colin’s famous father is none other than Tom Hanks. And finally, Scott Caan, who looks, talks, and walks just like his father, James Caan.

What other famous father-son combos do you like? Leave your comments below, and feel free to include some of their movies or TV shows so we can check them out!

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
