Dress Form Outfits: Under $50 Fashion Challenge

Today’s blog post features not one, but two {yes, TWO} dress form outfits. Both dresses are from the summer dress collection at Old Navy. {And no, this is not a sponsored post for Old Navy.} I recently wrote a guest blog post for Lana with Lifestyle Queen Bee, about spending only $50 on an outfit and using items from my personal wardrobe to take the outfit from day to night. Check it out! To fully take advantage of my $50, I went to Old Navy. I had seen their commercials about their summer dresses and decided to head over and see […]

Oh How I Love Dress Forms!

I have always loved dress forms, whether they be vintage or antique dress forms or wire-framed dress forms. I even like those mini dress forms you see at Hobby Lobby. Off-the-shoulder mini-dress (similar styles here and here)3. Black sleeveless eyelet dress (similar styles here and here) The Aldo Piaclya wedges were purchased on sale at DSW, but similar styles can be found here and here. I […]

When I Grow Up…

You can ask my mother about this, but when I was younger, I would always say that I wanted to be the next Barbara Walters. I would pretend I was a television newswoman, staring at my reflection in the microwave oven door, reading the news stories I had written. Then when I was about 16 years old, I began writing. I may have strayed from my original path as a writer from time to time, mainly because school and life got in the way. A couple of years ago, my passion for writing was reignited and I began a blog… […]
