Remembering Mary Tyler Moore

Mary Tyler Moore passed away earlier this week on January 25th, at the age of 80. She was a thoroughly modern woman in her time and she will be missed. “There are certain things about me that I will never tell to anyone because I am a very private person. But basically what you see is who I am. I’m independent, I do like to be liked, I do look for the good side of life and people. Warm Winter Dress Form Outfit

Dress Form Outfit / www.vanessahwood.com

Today I decided to feature a warm winter outfit on my antique dress form. Wearing a warm winter outfit is key during these first few months of the new year. He made me want to put on my red shoes {even though I didn’t have any red shoes} and “dance the blues.” A year ago yesterday, this iconic singer, songwriter, and actor passed away. It was a shock to millions of people, myself included, but his music will live on in the hearts of all of us. “Let’s Dance” and “Little China Girl” were so memorable for me. His androgynous look, his unique voice, his […]

Winter is here and I’ve got some great tips on how to stay warm while looking like a fashionista! Friday was my birthday and it actually snowed! Talk about an unexpected, but pretty awesome, birthday surprise! It was also 19-degrees outside and my tushie was freezing! {Thank God for the seat warmers in my VW!} On Saturday, my husband took me out for lunch at Longhorn’s Steakhouse for my birthday. I wear scrubs all week and so the weekends are mine to fashion as I want, and I love to show off my style. So on Saturday I wore my […]
