My Heart Belongs to Texas

Although I have lived in East Tennessee since the fall of 1991, my heart belongs to Texas. I grew up out west, in Levelland, surrounded by cotton fields, marching in the high school band, and making life-long friends.

I truly am heartbroken by the devastating weather reports and tragic news that I hear about when listening to my local NPR radio station. My heart perks up when I hear uplifting stories about families reuniting and pets being rescued.

I don’t have much to say except for this… Please donate to Red Cross or another reputable organization that is helping the good people of Houston, Texas and the surrounding areas hit by Hurricane Harvey.

For a great list of places to donate, I refer you to my fellow blogger, who hails from Houston, Texas {and just so happens to be a Texas A&M alum} – Hallie of All Ze Details. She put together a list of 25 places that you can send a donation.

Stay strong, Texas!!

Yours Truly,

Vanessa
