Links I Love: August

Links I Love / www.vanessahwood.com

There are a lot of other great bloggers out there and in the spirit of bloggers supporting bloggers, I like to share the links I love from their blogs.

Damsel in Dior – “How To Slow Down Time
Jacey Dupree has several great tips on how to slow down time and enjoy the final weekends of summer. The wonderous thing though, is that these tips are great for any time you feel like the world is running away from you.

The EveryGirl – “How to Get Fit If You Hate Working Out
I have gotten into a bit of a fitness rut. I used to feel like my “happy place” was in the gym. Maybe on day I’ll get back to that point, where I enjoy not only going to the gym but the physical act of working out. In an effort to squeeze some kind of fitness into my every day life, I try to park a good walking distance from my office building and I try to take the stairs (up and down) when I can.

Career Girl Daily – “7 Things to do Now to Prepare for Next Week
On Sundays, I like to sit down with my journal and my weekly planner and plan out my editorial schedule for my blog. Carissa Morias suggests sitting down and put together your weekly to-do list, review your goals, and meal prep. I have never “meal prepped” but so many people says that prepping their meals on Sunday helps to keep their nutrition on track.

The Stripe – “73 Questions with The Stripe
I love Grace Atwood and her blog, The Stripe. I love how, in this video, she put her own unique spin on the whole Vogue Q&A, “73 Questions” series. This video was her announcement that she was relaunching her YouTube channel! Now I could totally be friends with Grace IRL!

Lone Star Looking Glass – “Southwestern Grilled Chicken Salad Recipe
I love salads, and when I find a good salad recipe, I like to share it with others who love salads as much as I do. I love that this salad has a southwestern flavor, complete with avocado and grilled chicken. This salad is perfect for lunch or dinner!

Camels & Chocolate – “A Work of Street Art: The Best Murals in Nashville
I discovered this blog by happenstance and am so glad I found it! I love that Kristin is a Nashville-based blogger, sharing her love of some of the wonderful places in and around Tennessee. Nashville is just a couple of hours away from me and seeing all these beautiful and whimsical murals around the Nashville area makes me yell, “Road Trip!!!” Who’s with me?

Camille Styles – “3 Self-Defense Moves Every Girl Should Know
When my husband and I were dating, he taught me a couple of self-defense moves, one of which he regrets teaching me because I’ve used it on him when we were playing around. I think it was called the Tiger’s Paw. I think every woman, young and old, should know a few self-defense moves and these three moves are great to know!

What do you think about these links I love? Did you find them useful, helpful, and wonderful as I did? I hope so. Until next time…

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
