10 Cardigan Outfits to Inspire Your Fall Style and Where to Buy Them

cardigans for Fall

Cardigans are so perfect for fall because you can simply layer it over your outfit to complete your look, and stay warm all while looking fashionable. Today, I’m drawing inspiration for my fall style from a few bloggers and from Pinterest, and I’m sharing with you where you can purchase these {and more} stylish cardigans.

I love scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest for fashion inspiration because both social media platforms have a plethora of styling ideas. Anyone else do this exact same thing?

My style, whether I’m dressing for fall or spring, is typically full of neutral or dark colors {shades of brown or black}. And as much as I love color, I don’t usually wear lots of colors. I think the most colorful pieces of clothing I own are my scrub pants. For example, today {Sunday, Oct. 21st}, I am sitting on the couch wearing black leggings, a gray sweatshirt, and my Mer-Sea Cozy Wrap in, you guessed it, gray.

So it’s not surprising that most of these cardigan outfits feature some shades of gray or other neutral color. But to my credit, I did include some links to these cardigans, as well as some other more colorful cardigans, where you can choose another color! So let’s get started, shall we?

Bloggers in Cardigans

Amanda Holstein, of Advice from a Twenty-Something, likes to layer a ribbed cardigan over a simple white t-shirt and loose fitting jeans. I absolutely love this look! She linked a similar ribbed maxi cardigan from Free People. It comes in two colors {Apricot or Bright Pink}, and costs $78.cardigan Advice from a Twenty Something

Lauren McBride, of Lauren McBride Blog, paired a chunky cardigan over an oversized white tee and olive green moto leggings. Her cardigan is from Nordstrom, but it is sold out. I do like this one from Old Navy, which comes in three colors and costs $34.99.

Lauren Meyers, of The Lo Meyer Blog, said that “cardigans are the bread and butter of my Fall & Winter wardrobe.” I have to agree with her on that style point. I probably have more cardigans than I do sweaters. Here are two of her favorite cardigans. The first cardigan she raves about is the Cozy My Heart open fluffy longline cardigan from ChicWish. It’s a great neutral color and is only $69.90.

This BP. stitch curve hem cardigan is from Nordstrom is only $49, and comes in three colors. This cardigan is great for laying over a chambray shirt, like she did.

Katie Lee, of Pearls & Twirls, has a cool girls style I really love. She is an East Tennessee blogger {like me} who I met IRL last year. She is super sweet and so friendly. She has her own shop called My Kind of Lovely, which carries this gray cardigan. She said that this cardigan is so easy to style with any fall outfit.

Lee Ann Benjamin, of Life by Lee, is one of the many bloggers I follow who loves the annual Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and she got a couple of must-have cardigans which sell out pretty fast. I love the Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Lite Circle cardigan, and it comes in several colors.

She also styled a chunky oversized cardigan with a neutral top, skinny jeans, and over-the-knee boots. Unfortunately, this cardigan is sold out.

Rachel Moore, of Pinteresting Plans, also purchased a couple of stylish cardigans from the Nordstrom sale, including this Dreamers nubby cardigan.

She also featured a convertible wrap cardigan, but it is sold out. However, if you like wrap cardigans, then you also might like this long wrap cardigan {Nordstrom}, which is only $75.
