Sunday Inspiration: I’m Closer Than I Was Yesterday

A few weeks ago, I was beginning to get a little discouraged with myself as a blogger. Then last week some exciting opportunities fell into my lap. So when I found this quote while scrolling through Pinterest, it struck a chord in my heart and mind.

There are times when I feel like I’ve made it as far as I’m going to make it, especially when it comes to my blogging. I keep plugging away, writing, and reading and taking tips from other blogs. Lately I’ve been reading blog posts and articles on “how to make your blog posts successful.” What I’m realizing, after reading post after post, is that I’m doing everything that those posts tell you to do to make your posts successful. And yet, here I am, still struggling, still feeling like I’m not there yet. I don’t want to pay to make my blog successful. I want people to read my blog because they genuinely like it.

But here’s the good news… I’m closer than I was yesterday! As I said earlier, some blogging opportunities fell into my lap this past week. I connected with another blogger and I will be a writing a guest post on her blog in April. Then I was approached by a jewelry line, based in NYC, to create a blog post featuring items from their gold necklace collection. And finally, I have been sharing my blog on a regional bloggers Facebook page and an online magazine asked me if I would be interested in being a contributor! How exciting are these opportunities!

You may be going through your life, feeling like you’re not there yet, but stay the course. Take a few minutes at the end of your day and think about everything you have accomplished that day or in the past week, and make a mental note that you are closer to your life goals than your were yesterday!

Do you ever feel like you’re not there yet, wherever that may be? Do you sometimes feel lost when it comes to what you want to be or do? You’re not alone! I’d love to hear how you have stayed the course and realized that you’re closer than you were yesterday, so leave your comments below!

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
