What City Do You Belong in?

I’ve always said that I’m a city cirl trapped in a country girl’s body. I’ve always wondered which city best matched my beauty style.

After visiting and falling in love with both Chicago and New York, I kind of figured I’d fall into one of those two cities; however, I when I took this 9-question quiz, I found that I was more San Francisco than Chicago or New York.

According to San Francisco-based MakeupDaily.com reader, Amanda Huggins, “The flower child culture of San Francisco has really contributed to a signature beauty look centered around taking care of your skin. It makes all the difference!”

My answers revealed that I love a “simple, natural beauty routine” and “live by the philosophy that less is more.” I have to agree with that because I use just a simple face cleanser (Mary Kay TimeWise 3-in-1 Cleanser) and a good moisturizer (Mary Kay TimeWise Age-Fighting Moisturizer). I then follow that up with the Mary Kay CC tinted moisturizer and NARS Multipler in Orgasm. Pretty simple, right?

My haircare is pretty simple as well. Because I have naturally curly hair, I really only wash my hair about 1 or twice a week (I use LUSH cinnamon and clove shampoo bar); otherwise, I use a cleansing conditioner (like Wen or something similar) to wash my hair. After I gently towel-squeeze my hair, I use the LOC method to style my hair.

What is the LOC method, you ask? Simple… lotion, oil, cream. I use either plain conditioner (for curly hair) or WEN, followed by coconut oil. Then I divide my hair up into four sections and I finger-comb Shea Moisure Curl Enhancing Creme through each section, and end by scrunching my hair. I used to do the Oiudad “rake & shake” method, and I still do that every now and then.

Now that I’ve explained why my beauty style is “San Francisco”, I guess I’ll have to plan a trip to “The City by the Bay” to see if my beauty style really matches this city.

So what is your beauty style? Are you a Miami beauty, a Dallas beauty, or a mix of two? Leave a comment below and let me know which city your styles matches. Let’s compare notes!

Have a great day!
