Man and Woman of Style: Becks & Posh

I have this strange fascination with Victoria Beckham. A couple of years ago, I wrote a blog post about her after I purchased her book, “That Extra Half and Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between.” Although she is rarely photographed with a smile on her face, I give her credit for perfecting “resting bitch face”.  Not only is she perfectly coiffed pretty much all the time, but she has four seemingly perfect children, a blossoming fashion brand, and she’s married to David Beckham, one of the sexiest men {and soccer players} in the world. We have seen this couple cooly walk through […]

Woman of Style: Gal Gadot

I have always loved Wonder Woman, especially when Lynda Carter portrayed her back the mid-to-late 1970s. This generation will get to know Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, a.k.a. Wonder Woman. Not only does she have beauty and grace, but she has wonderful style. This is why she is this month’s “Woman of Style.” A few weeks ago, I watched Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and was struck by Gal Gadot’s beauty. I knew I had seen her somewhere before, and then it hit me. She is the stunning Gisele in Fast & Furious. This Israeli beauty has modelesque looks, but she […]

Woman of Style: Elle “The Body” MacPherson

During the 90s, models like Elle MacPherson, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Helena Christinsen, Claudia Schiffer, and Naomi Campbell, dominated the fashion scene, the catwalks and runways, and dozens of magazine covers. This group of women were known as “The Magnificent Seven.” They were known simply by their first names, and today, they are known for more than just their modeling careers. For instance, take Elle “The Body” MacPherson. She was given that nickname (“The Body”) by Time Magazine after she appeared on their cover. She has gone on to use this nickname in several business ventures. This is […]

Woman of Style: Alicia Vikander

“It’s almost a kick that I’m looking for. I like to push myself, find new sides of myself and see how different the characters are that I can create with my craft.” – Alicia Vikander, Oscar-winning actress and star of the new movie, The Light Between Oceans. When I saw Alicia Vikander take the stage in her yellow strapless high-low dress to accept her Oscar, I knew then that she had a beauty and a style that couldn’t be match by any other actress. This is why she is this month’s “Woman of Style.” Vikander won both the Academy Award and the […]

Woman of Style: Blake Lively

“I feel like there are so many people I admire for so many reasons that I can’t look at one person’s life and say, “I want that life.” I want to make my own history.” – Blake Lively Blake Lively is a woman of style and substance, not to mention a fabulous wardrobe. She has been the face of Gucci and L’Oreal Paris, and my favorite, Chanel. I will admit, I watched Gossip Girl every week on the CW and drooled over the enviable wardrobe of Serena van der Woodsen. I mean, who didn’t love her stylish outfits, am I […]
