Wanderlust Wednesday: Oh The Places I Would Go…

Wanderlust Wednesday Maderia Portugal

“I would gladly live out of a suitcase if it meant I could see the world.” I haven’t done a “Wanderlust Wednesday” post in several months, but that doesn’t mean that I no longer have those moments that I don’t wish that I could just take a year off and travel. I still have “itchy feet,” or what people may call “wanderlust”, or a very strong or irresistible impulse to travel and explore the world. I haven’t been all over the world (yet), but I always say that when I hit the lottery, I’m going to do some serious traveling! […]

Wanderlust Wednesday: London

The entire world was captivated this past weekend as we watched Prince Harry marry American actress, Meghan Markle. Hundreds of thousands of people flocked to London to watch these two lovebirds exchange vows. I’m sure the city of London benefitted {financially} from these tourists, and hopefully the tourist also benefitted from their visit in this fine city. With all the beautiful historical buildings and the dozens of attractions, any visitor could quench a bit of their wanderlust as they taxied around the city. The city of London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom. “At its center stand […]

Wanderlust: California

I have always wanted to go to California! I have a couple of friends who live out there and they love it! I actually went to L.A. a couple of years ago for a blog conference, but I didn’t get to venture out beyond the hotel and the area around the Staples Center. I did go on a walking tour, which was amazing, but there is so much to see in California besides downtown L.A. Photo Source: Reef Rainforest California holds such intrigue, mainly because I have always wanted to be an actress, but I never pursued that dream. It […]

Wanderlust Wednesday: Morocco

Last year, I {finally} watched Casablanca. {What took me so long? I don’t know!} This classic movie takes place in Casablanca, which is the largest city in the North African country of Morocco. If you look up photos of Morocco on Pinterest, you’ll see dozens upon dozens of photos of beautiful doorways, colorful markets, and stunning hidden gems like cool surf spots, beaches, mosques, and gardens. The Le Riad Yasmine {pictured below}, has a picturesque garden and private pool area. This boutique-hotel is charming and homelike, featuring seven traditional “Moorish rooms and suites of refined architectural beauty down to the […]

Wanderlust Wednesday: Scotland

My friend, Marcy, has raved about the beauty and history of Scotland. In fact, she took her niece to Scotland a couple of years ago and returned with her nephew just this past summer. She fell in love with this country when she was in college, which may be one reason why her love of Scotland runs deep. Scotland is the U.K.’s northernmost country, and is the land of mountain wildernesses {think of the Highlands in the Starz series, Outlander, with the sexy Scotsman Sam Heughan}, interspersed with glacial glens {valleys} and lochs {lakes}. And guess what the national animal […]
