My “Thrifty” and *Luxury* Pre-Love Finds

I’ve been a thrifter since high school, and I love finding one or two pieces that I can add to my existing wardrobe or that special trinket to place on a shelf. So today, I wanted to show you a few “thrifty” pieces that I’ve purchased recently.

StateMint Style Finds

This past weekend was the bi-annual StateMint Style consignment sale, and although I didn’t purchase a lot, I did find a couple of tops that I really am excited to add to my wardrobe.

This butterfly blouse is from Old Navy, and the Louis lip t-shirt is from Gypsy Junkies. Both of these tops were less than $10 total {thanks to the half-off sale day}.

I found The Louis lip shirt {which can be purchased *new* online} at Rebels Boutique for $50. I don’t know how much the Old Navy blouse was, but I’m drawn to items with butterflies on them because my name means “butterfly”.

Thrift Store Finds

Usually when I go into a thrift store, I look at handbags first, knick-knacks second, and books third. Within the past six months, I found the cutest Kate Spade crossbody bag. It’s small, so it doesn’t carry much, but sometimes I don’t need to carry everything under the sun in my handbag.

Here I’ve paired my Kate Spade bag in this dress form outfit from February, and the third photo shows you how I paired it with an #OOTD.

One of my recent and coolest thrift store finds was a tiny “authentic replica” of Notre Dame Cathedral. You may remember from last year that the roof of Notre-Dame caught fire on the evening of April 15, 2019.

This tiny replica is my reminder of my dream to visit Paris one day, where I will see the rebuilt Notre-Dame de Paris IRL. I love the details in this replica. I don’t know how old it is, but it will always have a place in my home.

Burning for around 15 hours, the cathedral sustained serious damage, including the destruction of the flèche (the timber spirelet over the crossing) and most of the lead-covered wooden roof above the stone vaulted ceiling. {Source: Wikipedia}

Books are another passion of mine. Most I read; some I just purchased {for sentimental reasons} to add to my *growing* collection of books. I almost have enough books for my own personal library.

Here are four books that I purchased recently.

*Pre-Loved* Luxury Purchases

I love to find special pre-loved luxury items. My first item was a small vintage Louis Vuitton bag {without the purse strap} at a secondhand store about 20 years ago. I use it as a catch-all when I carry my LV Neverfull or my LV Speedy.

I recently added this pre-loved LV Vivienne Christmas charm key holder, which I added to my Speedy as a bag charm. I purchased it from Claire Martin, a vintage “treasure hunter” based in the Netherlands, via Instagram {@claireluxevintage}.

My other luxury pre-loved item was this Claire V. leopard print foldover clutch, which I purchased from Amie Rogers, a luxury fashion, accessories, and lifestyle blogger from Great Britain. It retails for $275, but I purchased it for less than $150.
