Links I Love: February 2018

Links I Love / www.vanessahwood.com

February is the shortest month of the year, but it was chocked full of quality content blogs and articles. This month’s list of links could have been longer, but I narrowed it down to seven links I love. From detailing the Spring’s top handbag trends to how to drink water the Ayurvedic way, I think you’re going to love this list. And since there are seven links, you’ll have something to read every day of the week!

1. This Japanese Budgeting Trick Could Save You Thousands in 2018

LIL Japanese budgeting trick

Have you ever heard of Kakeibo? It’s a 100-year-old combination of bullet journaling and financial mindfulness. Think of Kakeibo as the Marie Kondo of budgeting that focuses on four very specific pillars. To read more about Kakeibo, then check out Rachel Bowie’s article in PureWow.

2. Yep, Argan Oil Totally Lives Up to the Hype (And Here’s Why)

LIL Argan Oil

I have used argan oil, specifically Josie Maran’s products, for years. I have even hooked my mother and my husband on this “liquid gold”. Because it is super moisturizing and has antioxidants, you can use it on your face, your body, and your hair To read more about argan oil’s benefits, then check out Brianna Lapolla’s article in PureWow.

3. There’s an Ayurvedic Way to Drink Water (And You Probably Aren’t Doing It)

According to ayurvedic medicine, it’s not how much water you drink, but how you drink it. To read more about how you should be drinking your water, then check out Lindsay Champion’s article in PureWow.

4. What’s the Deal with Crystals (And Can They Actually Heal You)?

LIL Healing Crystals

I’ve seen a lot of celebrities carrying crystals for different reasons. People meditate with them nearby, hold them in their hands, and even put them in their drinking water. Even though crystals are still rocks, many people believe in their healing powers. To read more about crystals, then check out Alexia Dellner’s article in PureWow.

5. 8 Things to Do in One Month that Will Change your Financial Life Forever

Everyone wants to have a secure financial future and this article from Career Girl Daily offers some sound advice for young people who want to save up for a better future. 6. These are Spring’s Top Handbag Trends

LIL Springs Handbag Trends

Roberta Fiorito, of PureWow, has put together a short list of the Spring’s purse trends. I won’t give away too much, but I will say that for someone like me who really loves a beautiful {and functional} purse, I’m excited about switching out my winter purse for something more vibrant.

7. 6 Sunday Rituals That Will Make the Week Ahead So Much Easier

Janell B. Stewart suggests doing these six things to help prepare you for the week ahead. Doing things like prepping your meals, cleaning out your handbag, and doing your laundry will help you have a winning week!

I hope that you enjoy reading these articles {one for every day of this week}, and show these links some love!

On a side note, I usually publish my “Links I Love” post on the last Saturday of the month, but I was dealing with a sick doggie. My baby, Daisy, has IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) which can cause partial or full paralysis and some other neurological issues. I have been treating her myself with some acupressure massage therapy, but if anyone else has any suggestions, I’m all ears!

Until next time…

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
