Kaftans have long been a staple of fashionable women lounging by the pool or going to the beach, then being worn to lunch or possibly even dinner. Stylish women have packed their kaftans for holidays abroad or island vacations. But has this flimsy piece of fabric designed to be thrown over a bikini really transitioned from resort wear to every-day wear? I say, YES!
Kaftans can be worn with gladiator sandals, espadrilles, or high heels. They can be belted or worn loose. Some are designed oversized while others are more narrowly cut. Rachel Zoe even designed some mini-kaftans for her Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear Collection.
