Links I Love

These past few weeks, I have been scrolling through several of my favorite blogs, and a few new blogs that I just recently discovered, and put together a list of ten links that I love and wanted to pass them along to you. From discovering a city guide to Nashville {which is about two hours west of where I live} to learning how to make my own massage oil, here are the links I love!

1.  7 Days of Workouts {Emma and Rose}

“Exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins makes your happy.” That’s what Elle Woods said in Legally Blonde and I have to agree with her. You may drag your arse into the gym for your workout, and you’re arse may be dragging after your workout, but you’ll feel better after you kick some arse in the gym! Emma and Rose’s workouts are quick and simple, and can be done in or out of the gym.

2. Polanter Vertical Gardening System {Garden Favorite}

Last year was the first year I planted a garden. I had two tomato plants, a burpless cucumber plant, and a jalapeno plant. Tilling the ground and making sure that the big green worms didn’t eat my tomato and jalapeno plants overnight was hard work. I love the idea of having a vertical garden and this gardening system is so cool!

3. Why We’re Making Nashville Our Next Long-Weekend Getaway {Coveteur}
Nashville is just a couple of hours away from me, so you’d think that I’d visit this lovely city more than I actually do. My husband and I get close a couple of times a year, when we go to car shows in Lebanon. We then head to Opry Mills Mall {for outlet shopping} or the Mall at Green Hills {for more luxury shopping}. Checking out this city guide really makes me want to hit the downtown Nashville area.

4. Make Your Own Relaxing Massage Oil {A Beautiful Mess}

I love making my own body oils and scrubs, especially when I can combine some nice smelling, and beneficial, essential oils. A couple of times a month, my husband and I will pamper each other with a nice relaxing massage. This massage oil would smell so relaxing on one of those pampering sessions.

5. How to Wear Color Like a French Girl {Who What Wear}

Obviously I’m obsessed with all things French, as evident by the name of my blog, but it seems like French women, especially Parisian women, know how to wear color. Take a cue from these cultured women and add a pop of color to your wardrobe.

6. Vanilla Latte Coffee Scrub DIY {A Beautiful Mess}
I have made my own coffee scrubs before and I absolutely love the way they smell. I never thought about adding vanilla to the mix, but this scrub could change my whole morning shower routine!

7. Why I’m Excited to Travel to Paris with My Significant Other {It’s Carmen}
My husband said that he has no interest in traveling abroad, much less to Paris. But as with any new vacation destination, I want to go there with my husband. I want to experience everything with him. When I went to NYC for the first time, I went without my husband and the whole time I kept thinking how I wished my husband was with my at the Top of the Rock, or with me as I took in the awesomeness of Times Square. This post was heart-warming and made me realize why my husband is my favorite traveling partner.

8. Poppy-Seed Chicken Casserole {Coco & Ash}

I already make a version of this, but without the rice (which is optional). The only ingredient my poppy seed chicken casserole has that this recipe doesn’t is lemon juice. Just a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice will add an extra layer of flavor to this super yummy casserole. A friend of husband’s actually made it for us one evening, and we were hooked. I could probably eat the entire casserole by myself because it’s just that good!

9. The Age Women Stop Shopping at Zara, According to Science {The Zoe Report}
“There’s no specific age at which you ‘should’ completely quit shopping at Zara.” If I read this post correctly, the age is 33. Yikes! I’m… umm… slightly older than 33 and I still like shopping at Zara. And if you’re like me, you’ re already shopping their mid-season sale!

10. Lookbook: Victoria Beckham for Target Starring Alecia Morais and Candice Huffine {Fashion Bomb Daily}

OMG! I’m so excited that Target is bringing a collection from Victoria Beckham to their stores. With everything priced under $75, this collection is sure to sell out quickly. “Both straight and curvy sizes are included—the latter is a first for her brand—as well as adorable children’s clothes that were inspired by her even cuter daughter Harper.” Available beginning on April 9th, Victoria Beckham brings her unique designs to a new collection for Target. Inspired by the upbeat charm of her own Victoria, Victoria Beckham line, she celebrates the shared experiences between herself and her daughter. The result is a look that’s fashionable, yet free-spirited and timeless. #VBxTarget.
