Wanderlust: One Week… One Beach…

Right now, I’m out on medical leave and part of me wishes I could be back at work. But now, part of me wishes I could be relaxing and recouping on a beach somewhere far away from the confines of East Tennessee.

I have one more week before I return to work, and one week would be all I need to enjoy some exotic, far away beach. One week… one beach…

Here are just a few of the beach destinations currently on my bucket list…

1. Fiji

Check out the Likuliku Lagoon Resort on Malolo Island

2. Maldives

I love the over-the-water bungalows and the glowing beaches.

3. Bora Bora

The views, the blue waters, the beach…

4. Ibiza, Spain

This destination is popular with celebrities, and with places like the Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Club and the Playa d’en Bossa Beach, who could pass up a vacation destination like this?

5. Australia – Whitehaven Beach and Syndey

Australia has been on my bucket list since the girls from “The Facts of Life” went there. Their beaches are famous among surfers and the white beaches at Whitehaven are stunning.

6. Mexico – Tulum and Pureto Vallarta

TUlum has gained a lot of popularity recently, and no wonder… it’s beautiful. And I’ve always wanted to visit Pureto Vallarta since it was a destination pit stop on “The Love Boat”.

7. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – Impanema Beach and Copacabana Palace

And who wouldn’t love to visit Rio. The sun, the sand, the exotic atomosphere…

There are lovely beaches around the world, including beautiful destinations in France, Greece, Dubai, India, Africa, Burmuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean, Central America, Hawaii, as well as numerous beaches around the continental United States. What are some of your favorite beach destinations? As always, I’d love to hear from you, so please leave your comments below.

Have a great day!

  1. You’ve listed a few of my own bucket list destinations! Though relaxing on beaches isn’t necessarily my thing, I’d be there more for the newness of cultures and environments and architecture! A friend of mine went to Fiji as a volunteer (I think they built houses?) and her pictures are absolutely drool-worthy.

    1. That’s awesome! I love going to new destinations for their culture as well. I do probably way too much research on a place, trying to find exciting things to see and do and end up spending almost no time relaxing on the beach. Thanks for reading my blog and commenting! Have a super fabulous day!

  2. I’m having serious beach envy of anyone on holiday right now!
    What amazing pictures!!
I think Fiji, Bora Bora and the Maldives are the most stunning and definitely somewhere I want to visit!
Ibiza is lovely but having been you’re not missing out on too much there 🙂
