I’ve pulled out my scarfs and am so excited about the cooler weather. For this week’s dress form outfit, I paired a green pashmina scarf with a knee-length (sleeveless) denim dress. The scarf is wide enough to use a wrap for the cooler evenings.

I also like that the denim tie-belt is a lighter shade, so it breaks up the darker denim dress. I have also, on occasion, replaced the denim tie-belt with a more color belt or even my wide black corset-style belt (seen in last week’s DFO).
I think this dress is both work and date-night appropriate. I would wear the scarf to work and then slip on a colorful cardigan. Then I would wrap the scarf around my shoulders for a casual night out with friends or for a casual date night with my husband. As for my footwear, I would wear brown riding boots.
My name (Vanessa) means “butterfly”, so I pinned a silver butterfly to my green pashmina. The butterfly is actually hands, making the sign for butterfly.
