Victoria Beckham: A True Style Icon

“I decided what I’m going to wear and it’s been that way since I was fourteen, when my mum let me loose in C&A. She, of course, was my first fashion guru.” – Victoria Beckham, That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between

My fascination with Victoria Beckham began in 2007 when I watched her one-hour TV special, Victoria Beckham: Coming to America. It was part factual and part documentary spoof, but I thought she was really funny and totally fashionable!

I googled her and discovered that she had written not one, but two books. The first book was an autobiography. The second book, That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between, is a wonderful insight into fashion, beauty, and “everything in between.”

Victoria Beckham is an English fashion designer, businesswoman, and former singer. Before anyone really knew her as fashion icon Victoria Beckham, she was Posh Spice of the all-female pop group Spice Girls.

Victoria Beckham is married to David Beckham, who is probably the most gorgeous man God has blessed this earth with, and together they make one of the best looking couples in the world. Together they have four children – three sons (Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz) and one daughter (Harper).

She has fabulous style and I would love to spend a day with her, shadowing her, and getting to know her (yeah, wouldn’t a lot of people!).

I think I’ll re-read her book, That Extra Half an Inch. The fabulous thing about this book is that she includes a “Where to Buy” section. There are also fabulous pictures and great advice that holds true year after year. So check it out for yourself.

Who do you think is a style icon? I’d love to hear from you.

Until then, have a great day!
