October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there’s a campaign going on down in Australia called #IPledgeToCheck. I read about it in couple of blog posts, one by a young woman by the name of Annalee from Perth, WA., and the other by a retired teacher named Libby. Walking for a Good Cause: Save the Ta-Tas

On Saturday, October 27th, I joined thousands of other people who participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Knoxville, TN. The 5K course took racers and walkers through downtown Knoxville. I walked with Katy and her husband, Russ, and we had a great time! It rained just a little bit during the first mile, but it eventually stopped and it cooled the air considerably.
