Wanderlust Wednesday: Grand Canyon and Beyond

Growing up in West Texas, I fell in love with the wide open spaces that the West is known for, which is one reason why I have major wanderlust for places near and far. Every summer, my family and I would travel through New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Wyoming to visit my grandparents. My grandma and grandpa Lashlee lived in Utah until they moved to Biloxi, Miss., to live with my parents. My grandma and grandpa Howard lived in Idaho, and then in Wyoming, before retiring to Cleveland, Tenn. On one of our vacations, my parents bought me a souvenir […]

New Year’s Eve Around the World

Happy New Years! I always try {but sometimes fail} to stay up and watch the ball drop in Times Square in New York City. By the time you read this, you will also have celebrated New Year’s in your own way, with family and/or friends, with a fancy cocktail or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice. You will have watched fireworks light up the midnight sky, turned to your love and planted a big kiss on their lips, and sang the New Year’s Eve Song, “Auld Lang Syne”. Christmas Around the World

Merry Christmas everyone! Today we celebrate Christmas around the world! As I watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation last night, I was reminded how I used to drive my Grandma Lashlee and my mom around town looking at Christmas lights. I especially find Christmas in Paris particularly beautiful! Christmas in London isn’t half bad either! I […]

The Best Gifts for the Carrie Bradshaws in Your Life – Amy Lee […]

Wanderlust Wednesday: Daytona Beach, Florida

Florida has some beautiful beaches and great vacation destinations, one of those being Daytona Beach. Located on the Atlantic side of Florida, Daytona is the home of the Daytona International Speedway and plays host to Daytona Bike Week and the Daytona Turkey Run Car Show and Swap Meet. My husband and I recently vacationed in Daytona Beach for the Thanksgiving holidays. We actually left the Friday before and drove down, stopping in Albany for the night, before heading to the Moultrie (Ga.) Car Corral and Swap Meet on Saturday morning. We ended staying almost all day and purchasing a blue […]
