My Week in Pins

“My Week in Pins” returns this week after a brief (one week, I think) hiatus. This week I have been burning up my iPad on Pinterest “pinning” everything from recipes to purses, much to the chagrin of my husband who also like to use my iPad to peruse eBay for car parts, farm equipment and the like. This week, I’d like to focus on “statement pieces”, such as jewelry, watches, etc. First up is this bracelet, which can be seen on Etsy. I like it because my name means “butterfly”! When I saw this watch, I immediately thought that if […]

The Millennium Trilogy are Good Reads

Earlier this year, I read Stieg Larsson’s “The Millennium Trilogy” – The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest. “Yea! Magazines!” That was my reaction when I went to the mailbox and was presented with not one, not two, but four magazines! And considering the fact that I’m getting ready to take a road-trip, I find the timing of these magazines in my mailbox fortuitous! Even though I’ll be able to download these magazines on my iPad, I still get excited about getting the physical magazine. I love the glossy covers, the perfume samples and the smell of the ink on the paper! I’m weird, I know, but I’ll always subscribe/purchase and read magazines the old fashioned way! The […]

My Week in Pins

In one of my first posts, I blogged about how awesome Pinterest is and how everyone should check it out. It has everything from recipes to fashion, DIY crafts to inspirational quotes, and home decor to humorous pet photos. I may go a few days between “pinning” things to my Pinterest profile, and then I’ll pin three or four hours everyday for a week straight! My husband will see me using my iPad and ask, “Whatcha doin’?” to which I’ll reply, “Pinning!” So I decided to start a new “category” on my blog and call it “My Week in Pins.” […]
