Fall has ushered in some great fashion trends, including bringing back beautiful jewel tones like burgundy. I have seen several other bloggers wearing burgundy and it caught my eye because this dark red color looks great on so many different skin tones. Now I’m looking to add a few burgundy pieces to my Fall wardrobe.

To help me decide what burgundy pieces I want to get, I turned to Pinterest for some fashion inspiration. Here’s the styles and pieces I’m loving right now.

Take a cue from these lovely ladies and wear burgundy jeans or pants, which can elevate your everyday casual look. Burgundy is such a dark, neutral color, and will make you want to replace your black or dark wash jeans for this jewel toned denim. I think it will quickly become a color staple in your Fall wardrobe.

Shoes and handbags also look beautiful in burgundy. I really like these velvet shoes and this beautiful velvet YSL bag. These items just look so elegant in a rich burgundy color.

This dark red color, tends towards either purple or brown, takes its name from the color of Burgundy wine. It is similar to other dark red shades like maroon, cordovan and oxblood, but does differ from each of these colors in subtle ways. And there are so many colors that compliment burgundy, like navy, tan, blush, gold, and grey.

The burgundy color was the most popular lipstick color among women in the 1990s and early 2000s. It is also a popular lipstick shade with the people of the goth subculture. In recent years it has made a comeback as popular lip color in the high fashion industry. {Source: Wikipedia}
