Styling My Dress Form with VBxTarget

I’m was so excited that Target brought a collection from Victoria Beckham to their stores. With everything priced under $75, this collection sure sold out quickly. “Both straight and curvy sizes are included—the latter is a first for her brand—as well as adorable children’s clothes that were inspired by her even cuter daughter Harper.”

The collection debuted on April 9th, and Victoria Beckham brought her unique designs to a new collection for Target. Inspired by the upbeat charm of her own Victoria, Victoria Beckham line, she celebrates the shared experiences between herself and her daughter. The result is a look that’s fashionable, yet free-spirited and timeless. #VBxTarget.

I have been a fan of Victoria Beckham since she was “Posh Spice”. I have followed her rise from singer in the girl band, Spice Girls, to her steady, meteoric rise as fashion designer. She has been one of my favorite fashion and style icons since she hit the scene back in the late 1990s. Her fabulous fashion sense and her high-end designs make this VBxTarget collaboration all the more stylish.

By the time I got around to actually purchasing something from this collection, the majority of my size was picked over. However, I did find a few items to try on. Most of them were a no-go, simply because they either didn’t look right, or I couldn’t get them over my chest {which I find a little funny because I’m not “busty”}, or they were too tight around my upper arms.

Here are a couple of items I tried on, but didn’t purchase because of the reasons listed above.

I really liked this dress {below}, especially the little bunny details on the collar. The dress was a bit tight around the upper arms and the sleeves were a little long. I guess I could have turned it into a sleeveless dress, but hindsight is 20/20.

So what did I purchase? Well, I got something that I probably never would have purchased otherwise – a black romper.

For me, I had to choose something sleeveless because I don’t really like anything tight around my upper arms. I don’t usually wear shorts {because I don’t like when they creep up between my thick thighs}, but this romper is really chic, super stylish, and very comfortable. The shorts are a little longer, which I like, and the material is soft.

On the dress form, I paired this romper with a pair of black heels and a black and blue geometric clutch.

Did you buy anything from the VBxTarget collab? What did you buy? My friend, LaToya {of the blog “The Fat Girl of Fashion“} bought a couple of items and she looks amazing.

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
