Celebrating Galentine’s Day

Over the past couple of weeks, I have read a lot of blog posts from other bloggers and articles about Galentine’s Day. And only after reading about this special day did I realize that this ladies-only holiday was birthed from the mind of Leslie Knope in Parks & Recreation.

I wished I lived closer to some of my girl-friends so I could get together with them on special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, births, and Galentine’s Day.

Take cues from these gal pals: Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow, or Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, or Nina Dobrev and Julianna Hough.

Want to know how you can pull off an impromptu Galentine’s Day celebration with your ladies? Or wondering what you can buy your friends to celebrate their awesomeness and friendships? I like these gift ideas from Aubry at Finding Beautiful Truth.

I like the list of gifts that Mackenzie of Brunch on Sunday put together, specially for your BFF/Galentine!

You can purchase great gifts, like these detailed by Andrea on The Cottage Market.

Gather your girl-friends for a movie. If you’re looking for something to watch, try any one of these gal-pal movies. Some of my faves are Pitch Perfect, The Devil Wears Prada, Miss Congeniality, and Now & Then.

I found this great DIY rose sugar scrub that you and your friends can make… or you can make a few jars of this ahead of time and give them to your girl-friends as a sweet smelling gift at the end of the night.

Here’s to celebrating Galentine’s Day with your gal pals well into our golden years!

Happy Galentine’s Day to all my gal pals near and far! You know who you are, but you’re worth mentioning… Tricia Hicks, Cindy Anderson, Marci Hatch, Katy Hammac, Karis Kranker, Christy Strickland Black, Kinna McInroe-Luiten, Pamela Valentine, Rupinder Kahlon, Dawn Hill Priebe, Suzanne Howard, Virginia Howard, just to name a few. There are many women I’m sure I’m leaving out, but just know that I love you all and wish you a Happy Galentine’s Day.

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
