Fashion Favorites of the 2017 Golden Globes

Believe it or not, but I did not watch the Red Carpet shows for the 2017 Golden Globes. I wanted to be surprised by the looks of some of my favorite actresses and celebrities. The color spectrum was fabulous, as always. Some actresses played it safe, while others took a daring chance and it paid off for them.

Here are 21 of my favorite looks of the 2017 Golden Globes.

Daring to Bare: Mandy Moore, Kristen Bell, and Busy Phillips wore stunning black dresses and none of them wore necklaces. Mandy’s sheer cape is a nice touch to the very low cut bodice. Kristen is just rocking this squared off plunging neckline! And the floral accents on Busy’s dress is beautiful, and the yellow clutch is the perfect accent piece.

Shimmer Queens: Regina King, Trace Ellis Ross, and Naomie Harris wore stunning fitted dresses, which complimented their skintones nicely. Regina’s fitted dress accentuates her lithe body, and those arms are powerful and beautiful! Trace looks great in this sheer, figure-hugging dress. With her wild hair, she is her mother’s daughter! Naomie exudes old Hollywood glamore.

Showing Off Their Figures: Kaley Cuoco, Brie Larson, and Priyanka Chopra are all beautiful women who are accentuating their finest assets. Kaley’s deep plunging neckline accentuates her beautiful figure. Brie also exudes old Hollywood glamore. She almost looks like Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? This gold dress hugs Priyanka’s figure nicely.

Stunning Beauties: Giuliana Rancic, Sienna Miller, and Olivia Culpo are beautiful. I love Giuliana’s soft floral dress and her makeup is on point. Sienna Miller is lovely in this white dress, which accentuates her tiny waist. Olivia’s daring {and different} frock instantly grabbed my attention and I fell in love with it!

Black Beauties: Blake Lively, Gal Gadot, and Riley Keough look beautiful in black. Blake looks amazing in this gold accented black dress. A pregnant Gal shows off her baby bump nicely in this silver accented dress. And I love the design of Riley’s dress, especially the unique neckline.

Colorful Women: Reese Witherspoon, Tracy Lysette, and Emily Ratajkowski stood out in their colorful frocks. Reese always looks great in yellow, and this time is no exception. I love everything about Tracy’s dress, especially the color. It accentuates her beautiful figure. Emily’s silky yellow dress features a unique neckline and bodice, but she wears it well.

Beauties of Every Age: Viola Davis, Michelle Williams, and Millie Bobby Brown may be years apart in ages, but they are some of my favorites from this year’s Golden Globes. Viola can wear any color, and yellow was her color on Sunday night. This one shoulder dress looked amazing on her. Michelle is a classic beauty, rocking a bow-tie choker necklace. Every time I see her, I think about the classic beauty of Audrey Hepburn. And finally, 12-year-old Millie wore a fancy, yet age appropriate dress, which made her look older than she actually is, but she still looked beautiful.

There were a lot of beautiful looks, but these are my favorites from the 2017 Golden Globes!

  1. Viola Davis for best, for sure. LOVED that color on her. I agree with most of your ‘best’ picks here too.

“Worst” for me would be Nicole Kidman, I think – the droopy sleeves looked kind of ’80s-ish and I didn’t really like it.

    1. I have loved Viola Davis since The Help. She has never looked bad on the Red Carpet! And I totally agree with Nicole Kidman… she is so lovely but she made the wrong dress choice.
