At Home & In Paris

I like to think that “home is where the heart is”, and to some extent, that is true. But my dream is to one day visit Paris, and to leave a bit of myself there so I can call it “home” as well.

Ernest Hemingway’s quote epitomizes the intentions of my heart. I couldn’t tell you when my fascination with Paris began or why it has such a hold over my heart and my mind. It could be the beautiful Eiffel Tower. It could be that Coco Chanel lived, designed, and ultimately died in Paris. It could be that it just seems like French women have their s*** together. Whatever the reason, Paris has a piece of my heart and it doesn’t even know it yet.

My happy heart lives here in Tennessee with my husband, Mike, but I have left pieces of my heart here and there, including Chicago, Key West, New York City, L.A., Cripple Creek, Colo., and Texas. I can’t wait to leave pieces of my heart in more places.

Where is your heart happiest?

Yours Truly,

Vanessa

    1. Beth, I am so jealous right now! You have grandparents that live in Paris! How are we not friends IRL? But seriously, I am in love with not only the lifestyle of Paris but the idea I’ve built up in my head! I practice my Parisian accent, although it is not good, and dream of walking around the Eiffel Tower! I’ll visit Paris one day, and I hope to have drinks with you while I’m there!
