Amazingly Beautiful Words

My love of words runs deep. I love how certain words sound, how the syllables roll off the tongue.

I started writing at the age of 16, mostly short stories and poetry. In college, I started out as a Business major. Then three years into a four-year degree, I changed my major to English and never looked back. Needless to say, I turned a four-year into a five-year degree, but my love of writing overpowered my initial want of being in advertising.

I interned at a TV station during my senior year in college, thinking I wanted to be the next Barbara Walters. Then my goals changed, and I wanted to be just a writer. My first job out of college was as a news reporter, and then I transitioned into public relations. Both jobs were a learning experience, for which I’m very proud.

Now I just write, mostly for me and for those of you who read my blog. (Thank you, by the way, for reading and following my blog!) In addition to writing ( when I can, of course), I am a Registered Medical Assistant.

When I found this “pin” on Pinterest, I decided to share these beautiful words with you, in the hopes that a word or two will inspire you, intrigue you, or simply make you want to add it to your daily vocabulary. Say them out loud. Whisper them to yourself. Look at yourself in the mirror as you enunciate them. Treasure them. Learn to love them. And finally, put them to use.

Some are simple words, like “glamour” and “love”, while others are more complex, like “evanescent” and “mellifluous”.

How ever you enjoy these beautiful words, do so with a newfound appreciation and love of words.
