A couple of years ago, I featured Knoxville, Tenn., in one of my “Wanderlust Wednesday” posts. I posted it the Wednesday after I walked around downtown during the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure walk. This coming Saturday, Oct. 27th, I will once again be participating in the Komen walk. There are so many small, locally-owned business, restaurants, micro-breweries, and hotels located in downtown Knoxville, that you could literally plan a stay-cation, or weekend getaway, in the city and not have to drive anywhere. My Walking Tour Through Downtown Knoxville

Last Saturday, I met up with several other bloggers and foodies from the Knoxville and surrounding area to experience what the downtown Knoxville area has to offer. It was a crazy, event-filled weekend, what with the Pride-fest and farmer’s market and just regular weekend traffic. But by golly, it was great food and even better company!
