On Sunday morning, as I was putting away my laundry, I realized that my dresser drawers were over-stuffed and unorganized. So what did I do? I asked myself: “Does this cluttered mess spark joy?” My answer was a resounding “NO!” So I pulled everything from my drawers and used the KonMari Method to fold and organize my clothes. There are no “before” photos, but here are the “after” photos of three of my dresser drawers. I didn’t go so far as to color coordinate my clothes, but I can see how this method of organizing can help one declutter their […]
Links I Love
Even though this has been a busy week for me, I still took time to click on some links from some of my favorite bloggers and websites {from Bloglovin‘}, and do some reading. In doing so, I found some links that I love and wanted to share these pretty cool articles with you. 10 Things to Do in New York City this Christmas – Carly Hill over at The Glitter Guide suggests visiting the different Christmas trees around the city, going ice skating, and taking in a holiday show. The Best Gifts for the Carrie Bradshaws in Your Life – Amy Lee […]
Wanderlust Wednesday: Daytona Beach, Florida
Florida has some beautiful beaches and great vacation destinations, one of those being Daytona Beach. Located on the Atlantic side of Florida, Daytona is the home of the Daytona International Speedway and plays host to Daytona Bike Week and the Daytona Turkey Run Car Show and Swap Meet. We actually left the Friday before and drove down, stopping in Albany for the night, before heading to the Moultrie (Ga.) Car Corral and Swap Meet on Saturday morning. We ended staying almost all day and purchasing a blue […]

Other parties will have you decked out in the most ridiculous and ugly Christmas sweaters. My office Christmas party is this coming Friday and we are having an “ugly sweater” contest. So now I have to come up with ugly sweaters {or sweatshirts or sweater vests} for both me and my husband. Then I have to convince my husband to […]
Painting with a Twist
I’m not an artist. I cannot paint or draw to save my life, but with some direction and encouragement, I can create a masterpiece. Last month, my friend, Marci, invited me to Painting with a Twist on Gay Street in downtown Knoxville, where we painted a whimsical Christmas scene. And I have to say, my painting turned out better than I expected! Painting with a Twist has rules, as you can see in the photo below. I did relax and my painting did turn out fine. I didn’t put my paint brush in my drink and I didn’t drink the […]
