Man of Style: Charlie Hunnam

I don’t remember seeing Englishman Charlie Hunnam before he appeared as outlaw biker and tough guy antihero Jackson “Jax” Teller on the FX Series, Sons of Anarchy. Aside from the characters he plays in movies or on TV, Charlie is gorgeous and sexy as hell. He has a style that’s all his own, which is why he is this month’s “Man of Style”.

In SOA he mainly wore jeans, a t-shirt or button-down shirt, and his SOA vest. He rode around the fictional California town of Charming on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and had a badass attitude as the leader of the Sons, taking down any man {or woman} who stood in his way.

Charlie gained fame in the British TV series, Queer as Folk, where he played a young, gay character named Nathan Maloney. He was propelled to sexy symbol status when he was cast as Jax Teller on Sons of Anarchy, where he appeared in many {and I’m talking many} episodes shirtless {not to mention a few times where he showed of some brief “backside” nudity}. A few years ago, he was cast as Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, but three weeks before the start of the shooting he chose to drop out the film due personal reasons and his busy schedule with Sons of Anarchy.

He supposedly does not have any social media accounts and yet, there are several Instagram accounts with his name. The only one I think may be legit is the @charliehunnamofficial account on Instagram, but I’m not for sure on that. There are some great photos of him on that Instagram account, if you’re interested in checking out more photos of Charlie.

Most recently, Charlie played the title role in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Percy Fawcett in The Lost City of Z. “I always think it’s better to take a smaller role in a great film rather than a leading role in something that you don’t have complete faith in.” {Source: IMDb}

I’m a sucker for a British accent, or almost any accent for that matter, but when that accent and voice comes out of someone who is as gorgeous as Charlie, well then… I’m a fan for life.

A “man of style” is not always the one dressed up in a suit. He is a well-dressed man, of course, but it’s also an attitude. It’s a air of confidence. It’s the way he carries himself, the way he walks, the way he talks, the way he takes care of himself. Charlie Hunnam exudes sexiness and confidence.

Although he is not married, he has been with his partner, Morgana McNelis since 2005. He splits his time between London and Los Angeles. And believe it or not, he is a germaphobe, except when it comes to working in the “dirt” in a natural environment, like on his ranch, or when he is camping.

What do you think about this month’s “Man of Style”? Let me know what you think about him in the comments below. Do you have any recommendations for a future feature of “Man of Style”?

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
