Beauty Review: QVC's Christmas Advent Calendar

Just before Thanksgiving, two of my friends and I purchased the QVC Christmas Advent Calendar. Katy, Cindy, and I couldn’t until December 1st so we could start discovering some of QVC’s top selling beauty brands, like Josie Maran, IT Cosmetics, Mally, Kate Somerville, philosophy, and others.

Each morning at work, we could excitedly talk about that morning’s beauty gift, whether it was a moisturizer, a perfume, a mascara, or a lipgloss. It featured 24 hair, skin, or fragrance products from 21 different beauty brands. It contained sweet little surprises every day!

Unbeknownst to the other, we each put on the same perfume one morning, and discovered that it smelled so different on each of us!

24 days of beauty included:

Mally Evercolor Starlight eyeliner – I don’t really wear eye makeup, but I love this plum colored eyeliner.

Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick mini – I actually received the full size of this lipstick in one of the QVC test tubes last year and I love it!

IT Cosmectics Bye Bye Undereye Anti-Aging Concealer – I gave this to my mom to try. I already have an undereye concealer from bareMinerals that I like.

Doll 10 Hyrdagel Creme Blush – This creme blush is  pretty and will give my cheeks a dewy look.

Formula X Nail Lacquer – This color is similar to Chanel Particulair, which I love. Katy got a white nail color while Cindy got a gold color.

IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5-in-1 Volumizing Mascara – I gave this to my mom to try. Hopefully it will make her lashes look longer and fuller.

Clean Fragrance Rollerball Fragrance – I gave this rollerball fragrance to my mom. It smelled great on Katy, Cindy, and Tresa, but I just didn’t like how it smelled on me.

bareMinerals Lash Domination Volumizing Mascara – I have tried one other bareMinerals mascara and I liked it, so I’m sure to like this one as well.

Algenist Advanced Anti-Aging Microalgae Oil – I love all things Algenist, so I’m really looking forward to trying this oil as part of my nighttime beauty routine.

Nest Fragrance Midnight Fleur De Parfum – I love the smell of this perfume on me. It smells like cotton candyand, OMG, it smells devine!

Strivectin TL Advanced Neck Treatment Cream – I’m excited to try this product. I’ve noticed that as I’ve gotten older, my neck has gotten a bit wrinkly, so hopefully this treatment cream will help!

LashFood Conditioning Lash Primer with Fibers – I’m kind of excited to try this conditioning lash primer… Wonder if I can wear it by itself?

Clarke Botanicals Marine Cream – I’m not sure how to use this cream, but I’ll figure it out.

Josie Maran Argan Oil – Love, love, love me some Josie Maran!

Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer – Like the Algenist oil, I’m looking forward to adding this to my skincare routine.

PTR Peter Thomas Roth FIRMx Peeling Gel – I’m kind of curious as to how this peeling gel works, but looking forward to experimenting with it.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment – I really love this exfoliating treatment. It smells good and leaves my face feeling refreshed!

WEN by Chaz Dean Treatment Oil – Despite the lawsuit against Chaz Dean and WEN, my mom has had great results with WEN products. So I gave her this treatment oil, which she has used before and liked.

Molton Brown Ylang Ylang Body Wash – I love a great smelling body wash!

Color WOW One Minute Tranformation Styling Creme – If a styling creme can help my wild naturally curly hair, then I’m sold! With that in mind, I’m looking forward to seeing what Color WOW can do for me!

Calista Tools Embellish Tezturizing Definer with Proelement – My mom has short hair that can better benefit from this product than my hair. I believe this product will give her hair the lift and body it needs, with long-lasting hold.

philosophy amazing grace shampoo, bath & shower gel – I received a sample of this product in one of my QVC test tubes, so I gave this one to my mom to try. It has a light, lovely smell that I think she will like as well.

Blender sponge – I’m looking forward to trying this blender sponge, especially after reading  how well they work to blend foundation into the nooks and creases of your face.

Mirror compact – This dual compact mirror has a magnified mirror on one side. It is slender and is a welcomed addition to my makeup bag.

As I said earlier, I gave a few of these items to my mother as stocking stuffers, and she is looking forward to trying them.

As for Katy, Cindy, and myself, we are looking forward to next year’s Advent Calendar with excitement!
