Dress Form Outfit #47

This week’s dress form outfit is what I consider to be a “casual work to date night” outfit.

I often see in fashion magazines where stylists put together an outfit where every item is under $50. The jeans may be $25, the shirt may be $39, the purse may be $15, etc… However, I would love to see them style an entire outfit for under $50 total – from top to bottom, including accessories.

So when I put together my dress form outfits, that is exactly my goal — to put together an inexpensive outfit for less than $50 total!

I paired this black, tan and eggplant print shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans and a pair of black sueded oxfords. For date night, I would swap out the shoes for some black high heels or wedge booties.

The shirt has some really nice details, including the drawstring ruching on the sides, the rolled up sleeves with button detail, and a small front breast pocket.

The shirt I purchased at the Goodwill in Cleveland for around $4 and the skinny jeans were purchased at the Forever 21 for $10.80. The black oxfords were purchased at Marti & Liz Shoes for $25, making the shoes the most expensive part of this outfit! So all in all, this outfit cost less than $50, including taxes.
