Dress Form Outfit #31

Wearing a sweater in the heat of summer often gets the wearer of the sweater the odd glance because “who would wear a sweater in this 90-degree summer heat?” The fact that this sweater is a bit on the thick side and that it has a cowl neck might turn some people off from wearing it in the summertime, but I see this sleeveless sweater as a colorful summer staple. The various shades of blue horizontal stripes alternating with the white, black, and tan stripes means you could wear it with khakis, navy cargo pants, black jeans, or crisp white […]

Dress Form Outfit #30

Summer is in full swing and my go-to outfits are either dresses or skirts. This week’s dress form is my favorite (and most worn) denim dress. I’ve owned it for probably 12 years (or more) and even though it’s faded a bit, it is still just as comfortable and “in style” (at least I think so) as the day I bought it. I paired it with a brown belt with a silver belt buckle, and draped a multi-strand turquoise necklace around the neck. In the summer, I would wear this dress with some cute brown sandals or wedges. Dress Form Outfit #29

I seem to be drawn to clothing that is black, so I try to add some color when I can to what could be an otherwise drab outfit. This week, I paired a black mini-skirt with a black tank top (last used in DFO #17). I topped this outfit with a turquoise wrap sweater. Dress Form Outfit #27

Prints are a big trend this summer and I found this crazy cool print dress at the ARC Thrift Store in Colorado Springs, CO. Unfortunately, the tag has been cut out so I don’t know who made this dress. It is super soft and very comfortable. It has a deep v-neck and is ruched just below the bustline. It falls just below my knees. To make this a work-appropriate dress, I would probably pair it with 2-inch high heel brown sandals or espadrille wedges and a pink cardigan. On the weekend, I would pair it with a denim jacket and some high heel […]

Dress Form Outfit #26

This soft neutral floral dress features butterfly sleeves and small bit of ruching at the bust. This dress is probably about 10 years old, but I still love it because it really skims the body and makes for a perfect (sexy) date night dress, especially with a pair of sexy nude high heels. I purchased this dress “on sale” from New York & Company in Cleveland, Tenn., when I was working in Public Relations. This outfit can totally be “work appropriate” when paired with a sweet burgundy cardigan and work-appropirate heels. Have a fashionable week!
