Dress Form Outfit #35

This week’s dress form outfit was purchased at thrift stores at separate times. The top was purchased at an American Thrift Store in Chattanooga while the skirt was purchased at a Goodwill store in Cleveland. I have often raved about my finds at thrift stores, and these two pieces are some of my great finds. The intricately stitched floral skirt features a lace hem and if you wanted to tuck in the sweater, then the wide waistband has belt loops so you could tie on a pretty black ribbon. Have a great week!

Dress Form Outfit #34

I love comfortable clothes. I’ve mentioned this over and over again in my dress form outfit posts, and this week’s outfit is no different. Both the top and skirt are from Forever 21. This gray top has a dark blue tie-dye effect. It’s extremely light and roomy, and it comes down to the hips. I wear this outfit with a pair of flip-flops but you could wear a cute pair of dark blue flats or wedge sandals for date night! The bracelets (seen below) were given to me by my husband. I’ve worn the bracelets separately, and I’ve worn them […]

Dress Form Outfit #33

The end of summer is quickly approaching and soon all the season premieres will be coming back on television. So in honor of one of my favorite TV shows, Sons of Anarchy, this dress form outfit features a bikini top with the official SOA logo. It ties both around the neck and around the back. I didn’t put the bottoms on the dress form because it just looked weird, but I did take photos of the bottoms for your viewing pleasure (FYI – I’m not modeling the bottoms)! The bottoms tie on each hip, which allows to some adjustment. Instead, I […]

Fashion Icon: Coco Chanel

Anyone who knows me knows I have a bit of a fascination with Chanel. I have seen the Coco Chanel movies – Coco Chanel starring Shirley MacLaine, and Coco Before Chanel staring Audrey Tautou. To me, Coco Chanel is one the my all-time favorite fashion icons. I don’t really know what it is about Chanel that fascinates me so (maybe it’s the interlocking CC logo) or when this fascination began, but I do know this – Chanel is equivalent to style and class. Biography.com has a rather nice bio on Coco Chanel, which details her rise to fame as a fashion designer. […]

Dress Form Outfit #32

I love skirts and dresses, especially during spring, summer and fall months. This week’s dress form outfit features a vertical striped A-line skirt and a simple white tank top. I would wear a couple of silver necklaces, a few thin silver bangles, and silver hoop earrings. To complete the outfit, I’d wear some cute white sandals or wedges. During the spring or fall, when there’s a bit of a nip in the air, I’d wear my denim jacket or a soft heather gray cardigan. You could also tuck in the tank top and wear a black or white weave leather […]
