I love consignment stores because you can find like new or gently used designer items for much less than if you purchased them yourself from the store. But if you haven’t heard of The RealReal, then you’re missing out! This unique online luxury consignment has thousands upon thousands of designer fashions just waiting for a new home! This sustainable luxury company honors heritage brands and extends the lifestyle of luxury items.

I have a slight obsession with designer fashion. I have been reading fashion magazines since high school. I remember my first encounter with InStyle Magazine and simply fell in love with all of the designer fashions every time I turned the page. But how can someone who can’t afford designer fashion actually purchase designer fashion? Well, from a reputable online consignment, like The RealReal, of course!

When you sign up with The RealReal, you’ll receive a $25 credit towards any purchase on the site. That is just one perk of membership with The RealReal.

The RealReal online clothing store is a leader in authenticated luxury consignment. The RealReal offers a large selection of pre-owned and authenticated high-end items including men and women’s luxury fashion (think Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton), jewelry (think Cartier, Rolex, Tiffany & Co.), and fine art (Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein). They offer good benefits for consignors of their products and have countless promotions for shoppers. They also offer opportunities to have premium memberships, which means more benefits.

First views of The RealReal’s website show promotions and sales that are easily accessible for the consumer. These promotions are constantly changing and the website gives you clearly marked start and end times for each sale.

Consignors with The RealReal are offered sixty percent of the sale price from the very first time their items are brought to the online store. They can then increase their profits by selling more merchandise. I am in the process of consigning two of my designer shoes, so I’ll let you know about my experience. I have read both positive and negative reviews about consigning, but I take it with a grain of salt and reserve the right to hold judgment until I experience it myself.

The RealReal believes in “the lifecycle of luxury”, meaning they celebrate quality craftsmanship and designers but they know the luxury consumer experience is about just buying designer items. It’s about sharing these designer items with someone else who will treasure them as much as you do.

So today’s post features three luxury fashion designer brands in a special #OOTD.

This outfit I chose to put together are items currently for sale on The RealReal.

Dress: Marchesa Ruffle-Accented Silk Dress (Size XL / US 12) – $301
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Satin Lace Pumps (Size 8 / IT 38) – $225 {Already sold, but similar style here}
Clutch: Judith Leiber Crystal-Embellished Clutch – $416.50

Yes, these items are a little “pricey”, but considering what their original cost was, I think this is a bargain for a luxury item! If you want to keep an eye on a particular item, then you can add it to your “obsession” list. But don’t wait too long to make a purchase because an item you’re watching may get sold before you decide to pull the trigger. Then you’re left with trying to find the same item later on or trying to find an item similar to what you initially wanted.

Have you purchased anything from The RealReal? Have you every consigned with them? What were your experiences with buying or selling with The RealReal? What do you think about my #OOTD? Where would you wear this outfit? I’d love to hear from you!

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
