A Look Back at Oscars Red Carpet Fashions

Tonight is Oscars! And if you’re like me, then you’re more interested in the Red Carpet show than the actual awards show. Don’t get me wrong… I love film and entertainment and the whole aspect of film-making, but I love watching all of the actresses and actors walking the red carpet, showing off their designer frocks and their personal style. I love to see the glitz and glam that some of these entertainers put on display.

The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will honor the best films of 2016 and will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on tonight at 8:30 pm EST/ 5:30 pm PST.

Be sure to watch the hours upon hours of pre-show Red Carpet coverage on your favorite channel. For me, my go-to Red Carpet coverage is on E! Online. They just seem to have more knowledgable coverage on the fashion front, if you know what I mean.

There have been many fashionable moments throughout the Academy’s history. So to get you all in the Oscars spirit, here’s a look back at some of the beautiful fashion moments.

If you’re planning to to have some friends over for an Oscars viewing party, then print out a few of these 2017 Oscars Ballots from Sugar & Charm and see who can predict the most winners.

Who do you think the night’s big winners are going to be? Do you think there will be any upsets?

As much as I can’t wait wait to see what everyone is wearing, I can’t wait to watch Jimmy Kimmel host this year’s Academy Awards. Good luck to him! It’s got to be tough to entertain a crowd full of professional entertainers!

Yours Truly,
Vanessa
